Handover Ceremony of 300th New School Building

Saetanar held the handover ceremony of 300th school to Education Department on 3rd March 2018 in Lon Hay Village, Ho Pong Township of Paoh self-governing region. U Man Win Khaing Than, Speaker of the Ayo ThaHluttaw opened the new school building by planting the tree in front of the school. During the ceremony, Mr. Sasawaka, Chairman of the Nippon Foundation, gave the speech in which he mentioned how happy he felt for 300 schools that have been completed in Shan State.
He said, “It’s been 16 years that TNF and Saetanar have been working together for the school building project (EPD). This school is the best school ever. It was built neither by the government nor donation. The unity and passion of the villagers accomplished this school. In Japan, it doesn’t have much natural resources like Myanmar does. So they have prioritized the education and focused on human resource development. That’s why their country becomes developed. Therfore, Myanmar can also become a developed country soon by putting effort in education”.
Special guests such as Lt-Gen Ye Aung (Minister - Ministry of Border Affairs), Mr. YoheiSasakawa (Chairman of The Nippon Foundation),Mr. Kazuyuki Takimi(Counselor-Embassy of Japan), Dr. Lin Htut(Chief Minister - Shan State), Major General Win Min Tun (Commander of Eastern Command), Major General MyintNwe (Deputy Minister - Ministry of Defense), U Soe Aung, Deputy Minister - Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement), Mr. Khun San Lwin (Chairman of Paoh Self Administrative Zone), U KyweKywe(Chief Justice of Shan State) and many other special individuals and respective community members participated in the ceremony. We are always grateful for your continuous supports and guidance for past whole 16 years and we would like to continue our hard works to serve the communities and students in Shan and Kayah State.
