Stipend Awarding Program

Saetanar has been implementing community development through school building construction by the EPD project since 2002. During our project implementation in Phekkone township and Ho Pone township, although the number of students who passed the middle education level was increasing, there were only a few students who continued their learning to high school education level. So, we studied the main reasons why they didn’t want to advance their education level and found as follows.
Some students do not have enough enthusiasm to learn about high school level education.
The transportation is far and difficult to go to the nearest high school from their native villages.
The parents and family do not afford enough for their children to study higher education.
Therefore, Saetanar conducted High School Level Stipend Awarding Program in Phekkone township starting from the 2014-2015 academic year and in Ho Pone township starting from the 2016-2017 academic year. Saetanar could implement this program in collaboration with related education office staff, enthusiastic local people and donation committee founded for the education of children.
